We want to tell stories with rich characters who are full of feelings and color and conflict, and then maybe watch them trip on a banana if at all possible.
Woodlette’s production and development arm is where we make things and develop longer-form projects. Instead of an over-elaborate mission statement, we thought we’d showcase some of the scenes and stories we’re particularly proud of.
Curses LLC
A dark comedy series about a family run cursing shop and a daughter who wants to take this shadowy industry into the public eye.
The short film is headed to festivals next year. Also a great example of how you can write, “He looks over at the exceedingly large rooster,” and then have the joy of making it happen.
YOU CAN USE THAT
A Comedic docu-series hosted by Caleb Synan, who takes comedians back to their comedic roots, to explore the origins of some of their best-known jokes, and try to unearth some new material for their acts.
In our documentary, LA Miner,we met a lot of amazing, reclusive folks who were gracious enough to trust us with their story.
